Game #10 Report: Phunk Junkies 4, Vineyard 2

Bah, Crusaders fall in the season finale, in an enervated display. It was a close defensive battle, but in the third period, Crusader team play seemed unmotivated, as if the excessive heat and humidity zapped the strength. Still, we were within one goal until Phunk Junkies tallied an insurance goal with approximately two minutes remaining.

Vineyard goals were scored by Colin and Randy. Our offensive execution in the third period was pathetic, and we couldn't breakout properly, hold on to the puck, or effectively capture loose pucks.

The loss leaves us with a 5-5 final record. Unsure where that will place our standing in the eight team league — the official standings posted still only show results as week #8, we were tied for fourth place with a 4-4 mark, and subsequently we split our final two decisions. But, irregardless, we will be playing another team next week, either as a low seed in the first division championship tourney, or as a high seeded entrant in the consolation bracket. As soon as information is made available by the staff at Rollerplex, I will post it here.
