Who's coming back for next season?

Hey I can play now. And my cousin was wondering if he could play goalie, if Russel wasn't comming back (due to going to flight school.) Can I get a roster breakdown and find out how many people we are going to have. When does the new season start?

Yes, you're more than welcome to return to the team, my only reservation is if you are committed to us (that is, you're going to come to the games, and only miss an occasional vacation/illness/family ermegency - IAW, no flaking out).

So far, it's me, Scott, Don (who is going to go week to week I think), Steve, Chris and me (5 skaters). Russel is going to let us know this week I believe if he will return for another season. Matt missed last weeks game so I don't know about him. I don't think Colin and Randy wish to continue playing, at least they didn't give a postiive response on Sunday. Need to get hold of Junior (Juinor, if you reading this, please respond!) to see if he wants to rejoin.

New season begins August 21. We're going to get new uniforms, nothing snazzy, just going to pick a unique color (powder blue, green, orange have been suggested). I want to continue as "Vineyard" but sentiment is to drop it and just go with Crusaders.

I've been doing the Friday night open hockey, only one missed was the week of the Ironman tourney (week before last), been fairly good turnouts… …even if not, you can work on getting your skating stride back. It's actually been a great workout and excellent conditioning regiment, as a number of the skaters who show up are quite proficient skaters and hockey players (giving an old man like me a hearty workout…). I'm planning on being there Friday night too, unless work intervenes.

We'll know by next Sunday if Russel and Matt wil return. If they do, that will give us 7 skaters (including you) and a goalie, so I'd say for sure on your cousin, but hold off on others until we can get a good solid count. Juinor came back for a game and indicated he could skate again, but didn't show up again, so you maybe right. Still, if he wants to join up, he's in for sure.

Re: uniforms, I'd like to do it as cheaply as possible, given that I'm fronting the money for the purchase. A logo/teamname on the front and number on the back is all we really need, not too crazy about all the extra frills including names and other stuff like 2-color shading and fancy racing stripes… …after Sunday, we're going to meetup and decide on (a) new captain and (b) final jersey color
