R2005F Week 6: Team A.M. 11 Reapers 1

Reapers on the receiving end of a mercy given, due to the fact of the same song and dance the whole season. 5 skaters for the whole game and one players showed up late. The reapers played great the first period but exhaustion began to take it's toll and the floodgates opened in the middle of the second. After that, the only thing on the team's mind was to get through this game alive.

There was some positives to this game. Spzarny rang the post three times, and Rosandic made some awesome saves while facing 2-1's, 3-0's all game long.

We need to stick together and finish strong this season. I strongly belive if we can have at least 3 guys on the bench as subs we can give some serious competition, and come out with some W's. The most we've ever had was two subs a game. With all things considering I think we haven't played all that bad.

Scott Shields netted the lone Reapers goal again in the beginnning of the second, off a strong slapshot that suprised team A.M's goalie.

Hopefully with next week's game we'll be able to have at least 7 skaters aside.

Good writeup, must have been tough after the big loss to pen that.

So sorry, could not make it back in time to play. I will be there from here on out, we are going to win this season, let's not throw in the towel.

We have a winnable game next week against a squad that doesn't have a win yet either (though they have a tie). And it will be a battle — they have a couple of guys that can score (the goalie's husband who works for the rink and another guy) and an improving goalie (she's gotten better), but it's a game we CAN WIN if we work hard, play positional hockey, and grab the loose pucks.
