R2005F Week 7: OMR 6, Reapers 4

Reapers choke up on a 4-3 lead in the 3rd period, and end up falling to OMR in a close contest. OMR added an empty net goal with less than a minute to go, and were also on the power play, as the Reapers suffered a too many men on the ice penalty because of a faulty extra skater for goalie swap. And with four minutes left in game, Reapers were the victim of poor officiating on a simply awful call when one of our defensemen was called for a penalty for simply skating into an opposing OMR forward. Further insulting was a non-call after one our skaters, Tony, was slashed in the face, and had to exit the game prematurely.

Reaper goals were tallied by Steve S., who scored twice, Scott E. and Don. It sure didn't seem like it, but the Reapers were outshot 29-18.

On a positive note, it's the first time we enjoyed the luxury of a full bench, as with new player additions Ron, Michelle, and Tony, left us with 9 skaters, 4 defensemen and 5 forwards to rotate in.
